Sometimes, growth comes from something dying.
Sometimes, growth starts with pain. Sometimes, growth starts with an ending that could never possibly be seen as a beginning. Sometimes, growth comes from a 'ah-ha' moment that is simple. But, sometimes, growth comes from a death.
Old Growth Tree Walk
This old-growth tree was cut down probably over a hundred years ago. By the size of this stump, it was between 800-1200 years old when it was cut, as the remaining standing old growth trees were estimated to be.
How could we know where new life would begin? The new opportunities. The rebirth. This old growth stump has been giving new life to a new tree, which it is nuturing and caring for. It's happening all throughout the forest. The forest is taking care of itself.
What pieces of ourselves, or parts of our lives, do we need to let die so that new opporutunities and a fresh start can bloom and be nurtured? Who do we get to be in our new growth? Who do we get to become?
