I started a meditation practice. It was hard! Early on in my healing and connection journey, one of my first coaches told me that I lacked connection to myself and my body. Huh? What does that even mean? "Connection to myself?" I needed to learn to quiet the thoughts in my
mind so I could reconnect to MYSELF and not the outside world. My mind needed
to stop processing. How did I start? I started with Insight Timer and a couple
other apps. Even 10 minutes a day was hard for me at first. That is why it's called a
'meditation practice'. There is no way to perfect it. 8 years later, I meditate
every day, for about 30 minutes before I even get out of bed in the morning.
Many people do it at night, or mid-day. For me, first thing in the morning
works for me. I follow great teachers with incredible meditations such as Dr.
Joe Dispenza, Mei-Ian, and others. I search out meditations on YouTube. This is
what works for me. It's part of my self-care routine and love for myself.
